Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, the Canadian-American musician and singer. She has more than twenty albums. Her music is classified by DiFranco as folk, alternative and rock but also has influences of hip-hop and jazz. Ani DiFranco is the first musician to start her own record company in the year 1990. Ani is widely considered as a feminist icon. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September 1970 in the city of Buffalo in New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who was introduced to Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was Italian descent and her mother was originally from Montreal. Ani diFranco wrote and sang the track 32 Flavors.
