Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born South London, England into a mixed family. Her father is Nigerian Swiss and her mother is English. She attended The Brit School when she was fourteen years old. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While at the academy, she appeared in numerous stage productions, including King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe launched her acting career with the movie Storm Damage. Since then, she's been a guest star for Teachers, Doctors, Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film role was Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. In the following film, she played Elisha, an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In her role, she also played Ollie for six episodes from Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. She also landed the part as Bambi on The ITV2 drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in three and two series. Madekwe was the main character on How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others. The comedy made in 2008. She was also as a character in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path written composed by David Watson.
Madekwe debuted in the US in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama program was telecast on The CW for only two episodes, but it was cancelled. In February, she was cast 2011 in the role of Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe starred as a regular character on the ABC drama series Revenge for two seasons. It was revealed in May 2013 that she would leave the series after making an appearance in the first series of the 3rd. Between 2014 and 2016, Madekwe was a star as Tituba on the show Salem. In June 2012, Madekwe married her long-time boyfriend, actor Iddo Goldberg. Together, they worked on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He also played with her on Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress, who was born into an extended family. Her parents were Patty and Roy Leggat. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty along with her three older siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's siblings, who are all athletic, played in the summer months and play hockey during winter. Ashley had never been able to walk. She would dance. So when she was 2 and a 1/2 when she was a little older, she joined Baby Ballet. Ashley discovered her love for dance at this age. Ashley was a competitor in ballet, jazz and tap at the top divisions. All of the big dance events, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which have awarded her the honor of "top Soloist".
