Meagan Good was born in Panorama City, Los Angeles on August 8, 1981. Her mother Tyra Wardlow Doyle worked as her manager as she entered her teens. Her career in acting began at age four. She was raised in Canyon Country, California with three of her siblings. She was an extra to TV shows like Doogie Howser Amen & M.D. in the beginning of her career. At the age of 13, her first role in a film Friday occurred. She first gained attention for her character as the teenage troubled Cisely Batiste in Eve's Bayou in 1997 for where she won two awards nominations, including her first N.A.A.C.P. Image Award nomination. Good began to take on smaller role in television and films for several years, before transitioning to more mature roles in the beginning of 2000. The role she played was Nina, Nickelodeon T.V.'s Cousin Skeeter. It ran from 1998 until 2001. Additionally, she played minor roles in the film House Party to the Last Minute (1998) and 3 Strikes (2000). She also appeared in 2003 as she portrayed Vanessa Scott in My Wife and Kids. The show was nominated for Best Actress for the Black Movie Awards for 2005. After that, she starred in several movies such as Cookout Venom Waist deep and The Love Guru. While in both T.V. In movies, she portrayed Mya in Think Like a Man with a cast of many stars as well as playing Ms. Stevens as Dysfunctional.
